Weatherize Your Home

The Idaho Weatherization Assistance Program helps Idaho families keep their homes cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Families meeting certain eligibility requirements can qualify to have certified crews make home repairs and upgrades that will help lower utility costs. Families must be able to prove ownership of their housing unit or have signed written permission from a qualifying landlord to make the home improvements. Weatherization services need to show the cost of doing the work will save the family money after the work is completed. Home safety and health risks also are considered when deciding if a home qualifies for services. Priority is given to families with children, elderly and disabled members. Some funding may be available to help homeowners with crisis situations. Funding is limited and available year-round on a first-come, first-serve basis.
