Eat Smart Idaho provides nutrition and physical activity education for low-income Idahoans. Participants learn the basics of quick and healthy meal preparation, smart shopping, food safety, and increased levels of physical activity.
Learn about checking, savings and managing a bank account. At the end of the program, graduates may be able to open an account at participating financial institutions.
Project Filter offers free and anonymous help to quit smoking and chewing tobacco. Our services include free advice from a trained quit coach as well as free nicotine patches, gum or lozenges to all qualified Idaho residents.
Successful Transition and Retention Track (START), located at Idaho State University, provides social and academic support for participants as they manage barriers while they are pursuing academic, career, and life goals.
Idaho Sound Beginnings (ISB) monitors newborn hearing screenings throughout the state, and tracks the children that don't pass through the 1-3-6 Early Hearing Detection and Intervention benchmarks.
The Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ICBVI) is a state agency assisting blind and visually impaired persons to achieve independence by providing education, developing work skills, increasing self-confidence and helping them remain employed or prepare for employment.
Adult Education helps adults improve skills in reading, writing, math, and the English language. Services are free, and cover basic literacy through college readiness.
Free, state-wide audio book and magazine library for anyone unable to read standard print due to a physical disability.
The LiLI Databases (LiLI-D) are your link to top quality articles, magazines, professional journals, newspapers, reference books and more. It is a FREE service to all Idaho residents.
A 529 Plan is an education savings plan operated by a state or educational institution and designed to help families set aside funds for K-12 and higher education goals.
