Counseling and guidance is provided for people with disabilities to fulfill employment goals and achieve independence. Eligibility is determined for anyone who has a physical or mental disability, which makes it challenging to get or continue employment.
Center for New Directions (CND), located at Idaho State University, assists men and women in transition to overcome personal and economic barriers to education and employment, to access training programs and job opportunities, and to become personally and economically self-sufficient.
The Idaho Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired (ICBVI) is a state agency assisting blind and visually impaired persons to achieve independence by providing education, developing work skills, increasing self-confidence and helping them remain employed or prepare for employment.
Employment Training Counselors (ETCs) assist seniors to develop individual employment plans and teach job seeking skills such as; interviewing, job searches, setting goals and resume building.
