Head Start is a comprehensive, family-focused preschool program designed to help low-income and at-risk three and four year old children and their families succeed in school and life. Early Head Start focuses on at-risk families with children under age three, and pregnant women.
LIFE Skills services are available for children, adolescents, and adults. The service is designed to teach socialization, integration and daily living skills considered necessary for a successful, fulfilling life.
Parents as Teachers is a free in-home program that helps guide parents through the important stages of their child's development and gives them tools for success. The program is open to parents with children from birth to kindergarten age. Additional qualifications apply.
At Central District Health Department's (CDHD) Reproductive Health Clinic, men and women can receive complete physical wellness exams, STI/HIV testing, pregnancy testing, and a variety of contraception options. Many insurances are accepted and a sliding fee payment scale is available.
